TCS Delivery Time: How Many Days Does TCS Take to Deliver?
There is no single TCS delivery time. The service the sender chose at booking sets the timeline, and the delivery time can also depend on the destination and shipment type.

TCS Express delivery timelines by service
If you only remember one table, make it this one. Each row is a separate TCS product with its own promise. That’s why two parcels on the same road can arrive a day apart.
| Service | Delivery time | How TCS describes it | Typically used for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Overnight Express | 1 working day | Delivery the day after TCS receives the shipment, covering roughly 90% of destinations on its network, during daylight hours. | Documents and ordinary parcels between cities |
| Same Day Delivery | Same day | Within-city delivery in selected main cities and selected areas inside them. | Urgent local shipments |
| Economy Express | 2 working days | An overland service with a second-day delivery standard. TCS states over 80% of Economy Express shipments arrive within half the committed time. | Cheaper shipping when a day doesn’t matter |
| Overland Express | 36–72 hours | Bulk cargo to around 200 cities. | Heavy corporate cargo |
| Time Choice | The date and hour you pick | Usually delivered within a one hour threshold, no later than 30 minutes after the chosen time. | Deliveries that must land at a set time |
| International Express | Varies by country | Depends on the destination and on customs clearance. | Cross-border documents and parcels |

TCS domestic delivery times by route
TCS doesn’t publish a city-to-city chart. Your route changes the answer in only two ways: whether Same Day is offered there, and whether the destination sits inside the Overnight network.
| Route | TCS delivery time |
|---|---|
| Same city (Karachi to Karachi) | Same day on Same Day Delivery, which TCS offers in 11 main cities, with Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad fully covered. Next working day if booked on Overnight Express. |
| Main city to main city (Karachi to Lahore, Lahore to Islamabad, Faisalabad to Multan) | Next working day on Overnight Express. Second working day on Economy Express. |
| Main city to a smaller town | Next working day on Overnight Express if the town is inside the roughly 90% of destinations the service reaches. Towns outside it take longer. |
| Remote and northern areas | Longer than next day. TCS publishes no figure, so ask the Express Centre at booking. Northern roads add days in winter and the monsoon. |
You’ll see “Karachi to Lahore: 2–3 days” on other tracking sites. That fits an Economy Express parcel booked late in the week, not the Overnight product TCS sells for that route. If a seller quotes you 2–3 days, they’ve most likely booked the slower service.
How to count your TCS delivery days
Count working days from the day TCS receives the parcel. Sunday isn’t a regular delivery day (see is TCS open on Sunday), and public holidays don’t count either. Four real-world cases:
- Monday morning, Overnight Express, Karachi to Lahore: arrives Tuesday.
- Monday evening, after the counter’s last collection, Economy Express: TCS counts it as received Tuesday, so it’s due Thursday.
- Saturday afternoon, Overnight Express: the next day is Sunday, so expect Monday.
- Ordered online Friday, seller books it Monday: your clock starts Monday. Counting from the order date is the most common reason a parcel looks late when it isn’t.
Your booking date is the first scan in the tracking history. Track your consignment number to see it.
Which TCS service is your parcel on?
Most people asking about TCS delivery time are missing this one detail. The service was fixed at booking, and the tracking result doesn’t always name it plainly.
- You booked it yourself: the service is printed on your Express Centre receipt, next to the charge.
- A shop shipped it to you: ask the seller. They chose and paid for the service. Most online sellers use a next-day or second-day product, not Same Day.
- Neither: call TCS with the consignment number. The helpline can see the booking.
Without the service name, any estimate is a guess. A parcel that seems two days late on a Same Day assumption may be right on time on Economy Express.
Check where your parcel actually is
The scan history tells you more than any delivery estimate.
What changes TCS shipment time
TCS shipment time is the stretch from booking to delivery. These are the things that stretch it:
- The booking cut-off. Hand a parcel in after the day’s last collection and its clock starts the next working day. Cut-off times vary by Express Centre, and this alone explains many “one day late” parcels.
- Main city or remote area. Destinations with their own TCS facility move faster than towns served through one.
- Address and phone number. A missing house number, landmark or reachable phone can mean a failed attempt, and each retry costs at least a working day. See delivery attempt failed.
- Weight and size. Heavy or bulky shipments often go on Overland Express (36–72 hours) instead of Overnight.
- Eid and public holidays. Volume jumps and the whole network slows for several days.
- Weather and road closures. These hit specific routes, which is why one city stalls while others move normally.
- Customs, for international parcels. Clearance time never shows in tracking, so cross-border parcels look stuck more often than they are.
How to get a TCS parcel delivered faster
Speed is decided before the parcel leaves the counter, so this list is mostly for senders.
- Choose the fast service. Book Overnight Express, or Same Day Delivery inside a covered city. Economy Express is cheaper precisely because it’s a day slower. The urgent delivery guide compares the options.
- Beat the cut-off. Ask your Express Centre for its last collection time and hand the parcel in before it. Branch hours differ; see TCS working days and office hours.
- Skip Saturday afternoon for anything urgent. With Sunday off, it won’t arrive before Monday.
- Write the address like a rider will read it. Include the house number and a landmark, plus a phone number the receiver actually answers.
- Book early around Eid and sale events. Give it a day or two of extra lead time.
- For international parcels, finish the paperwork at booking. An incomplete invoice or contents description is a common cause of customs holds.
TCS international delivery times
International Express reaches over 220 destinations, and transit time depends on the country and on customs clearance. TCS doesn’t publish a fixed day range by region, so the reliable figure is the one quoted at the counter when you book. The continent-by-continent day ranges on other sites aren’t TCS figures.
Two things feel different from a domestic parcel:
- Updates come further apart. A cross-border route has fewer scan points than an intercity route inside Pakistan.
- Customs is invisible in tracking. Clearance doesn’t generate a scan, so a shipment can sit at a border for days with nothing new showing.
Neither is a fault, and TCS can’t shorten either one. If a delivery date matters, agree it with TCS before booking. Costs are in TCS international courier rates, and tracking help is in TCS international tracking.
When a TCS parcel is genuinely late
Don’t call on day one. Work through this first:
- Confirm the service with the sender, so you know what was actually promised.
- Count working days, not calendar days, starting from the first movement scan rather than the order date.
- Read the last scan. A movement status means it’s on its way. A held or exception status means something needs fixing.
- Contact TCS if the last scan is several working days old and past the service’s promise. Use the consignment number, or follow the TCS complaint guide.
For what each scan means, see the status guide. If nothing has changed for days, read tracking not updating. If the parcel never turns up, see TCS parcel not delivered.
Frequently asked questions
How many days does TCS take to deliver?
1 working day on Overnight Express, 2 working days on Economy Express, and the same day on Same Day Delivery inside selected cities. TCS says Overnight Express reaches about 90% of the destinations on its network the day after it receives the parcel. Holidays, remote destinations and customs extend all of these.
What is the TCS delivery time from Karachi to Lahore?
The next working day on Overnight Express, or the second working day on Economy Express. TCS publishes no separate figure for this route. The service the sender booked decides it.
How long does TCS take from Lahore to Islamabad?
Same rule as any main-city pair: next working day on Overnight Express, second working day on Economy Express.
How long does TCS take within the same city?
The same day on Same Day Delivery, which TCS offers in 11 main cities with Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad fully covered. On Overnight Express, a same-city parcel arrives the next working day.
What is the TCS overnight delivery time?
One working day. TCS describes Overnight Express as delivering the day after it receives the shipment, covering approximately 90% of destinations on its network, during daylight hours.
What is the TCS Economy Express delivery time?
Two working days. It’s an overland service with a second-day standard, and TCS states over 80% of Economy Express shipments arrive within half the committed time.
I ordered online. How long will the TCS courier take to deliver my parcel?
Add two things together: how long the seller takes to book it, and the TCS shipment time for the service they chose. The first scan in tracking shows when TCS actually received it.
Is TCS shipment time the same as delivery time?
Not quite. Shipment or transit time runs from when TCS receives the parcel to delivery. The wait you feel as a buyer also includes the days before the seller books it, which TCS doesn’t control.
Does TCS deliver on Sunday?
Sunday home delivery isn’t a standard TCS service, so a parcel in transit over the weekend usually moves again on Monday. A few Express Centres in larger cities open for counter work on Sunday; the Sunday guide has details.
What time of day does TCS deliver?
TCS describes Overnight Express deliveries as made during daylight hours. It doesn’t publish a fixed window, so if the hour matters, book Time Choice, where the sender picks the date and time.
Why is my TCS parcel taking longer than promised?
Usually it’s one of four things: a late booking cut-off, a destination outside the main network, an incomplete address, or a peak period like Eid. Check the last scan first. A movement status means it’s coming; a held or exception status means something needs resolving.
What are TCS international delivery times?
They depend on the destination and on customs clearance, which no courier controls. TCS International Express serves over 220 destinations and doesn’t publish fixed day ranges by region, so ask for the quoted transit time when you book.
